New for 2023, the Fender Custom Shop introduces the Limited Roasted Pine Stratocaster Deluxe Closet Classic, with a two-piece select roasted pine body for big, resonant sound, special pickups and wiring for amazingly versatile tone and a gorgeous Deluxe Closet Classic finish in Honey Blonde, White Blonde and Chocolate Three-Color Sunburst. This finely aged finish treatment imparts the look of a guitar owned with pride, well cared for and religiously polished over many years. Moderate finish checking and hardware oxidization, along with mild parts discoloration, combine into the distinct look and feel of an instrument that has evolved into something complex and refined, like a fine wine.

Formidable sonic versatility comes from three hand-wound Dual Mag II pickups with extra winds for greater tonal power and girth (reverse-wound/reverse-polarity middle pickup for hum cancellation in switch positions 2 and 4), with alnico 5 magnets on the bottom for greater punch and alnico 2 magnets on the top for smoother highs - a combination that also creates great string-to-string output balance. Vintage Modified #2 wiring includes five-way pickup switching, Tone-Saver bleed circuit (eliminates tone loss when volume is turned down) and Greasebucket^™ II bridge-pickup tone control (minimizes gain/mid loss when turned down).

Other premium features include a roasted quartersawn maple neck with '59-style "D" profile, a 9.5"-radius flat-lam rosewood fingerboard with 21 jumbo (6100) frets and a bone nut, four-ply brown shell pickguard, Custom Shop vintage synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuners, wing string tree with tall metal spacer, deluxe hardshell case, strap and certificate of authenticity.
