Night after night the Foo Fighters' Chris Shiflett puts his Telecaster through its paces, carving his way through a full brigade of guitar tones on the biggest, loudest stages you can find anywhere. This tour-tested son-of-a-gun is named "The Cleaver" for a reason - it positively slashes through the mix with a fat, P90-powered voice that snarls dirty as well as it sings clean. We're proud to add the Chris Shiflett Telecaster to our Masterbuilt Artist offerings. Masterbuilt to Shiflett's exact specs by Master Builder Greg Fessler, there's a limited number of these guitars available at Authorized Custom Shop dealers.
Wearing a Closet Classic lacquer finish for enhanced resonance, the two-piece alder body also has a "belly cut", making it comfortable to play during long sets. Packed with powerful midrange that's perfect for overdriving a preamp, the pair of high-output Lindy Fralin P-90 single-coil pickups are beefy-sounding without losing any articulation. The strong and stable tinted quartersawn maple neck is built for speed - the combination of a "60 Oval C"-shaped profile, 12"-radius rosewood fingerboard and medium-jumbo frets make it easy to fly up and down the neck. Pearloid block inlays add a touch of unexpected class to this Tele® - it's a workhorse, but that doesn't mean it can't look good. Other features include modern Tele wiring and a 3-way pickup switch, 3-ply Mint Green pickguard, vintage-style hardtail Strat® bridge, Schaller® "F"-style tuning machines, bone nut and wing string tree with nylon spacer. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
